This work went through a series of transformations over the years. It began with an invented sequence of numbers which I manipulated, in a consistent manner, several times. Several works came out of it in its different transformations. One of them was supposed to be an open work based on a graphic version of the sequence. Fuzei was performed at an open score concert in 2017(recording track below). Later on my friend and colleague, Andrea Young asked me to reconfigure some of the graphs for her own version of Fuzei which she is going to include in her own recording project.

The graphical score of Fuzei emerges from a simple invented sequence of 14 numbers. Through playful manipulations of the sequence, a series of 24 different patterns came about. While working on these patterns I also imagined the myriad sonic possibilities that could be used for its realization while maintaining its form. I created many scores for different instruments from these patterns. Fuzei is the graphic version which invites a creative exploration of a wider range of sound possibilities within its structure.
