about – à propos

Mirko Sablich is a composer and concert curator currently based in Montreal. He started his involvement in music during elementary school as a member of the junior and then senior school band where he played the clarinet and the euphonium. He later played guitar in an improvisation band. He holds degrees in Economics and in Music Composition from Concordia University and a masters in Music Composition from l’Université de Montréal. His creative work is the result of experimenting with sound and patterns while striving to do so in a mindful, natural, intuitive and playful manner. The interactions of these aspects during the creative process as well as the social impact of such an approach are the focus of his independent research. His music is made available by Éditions musique Sisyphe (emsis.ca)
